Meeting competition demands is obviously easier for a Jack Russell Terrier which is well formed physically for its purposes - not merely a pocket Hercules, but of suitable and balanced conformation.
No degree of physical attributes is of the slightest use if the will and agility to employ them are absent.
The worth of a Russell is not mainly in the body but very largely in the soul: it is to be expressed in his appearance, as well as by his character.
